At Dog Days of Texas, we breed loving Cavapoos and have a puppy that's just right for everyone. Our mission is to raise ethically and responsibly bred puppies that are not only the most beautiful but the most lovable, loyal, and easy to train. We are located right outside of Georgetown in Central Texas, a convenient drive for anyone.

My name is Caley, and Dog Days of Texas was created in 2019 by husband and I with our love of dogs and puppies in mind. After working closely with my mother, Becky of Snickerdoodles, I found my passion for working with puppies, puppy training, and raising dogs.

Our puppies are raised with the Puppy Culture method from the time they are 3 days old to when they go home to their loving families. They are raised in our home with our family, other dogs, and are well socialized and are part of our daily activities.

Why a Cavapoo?

#1 Demeanor

Cavapoos are well-known for their kind, affectionate, sensitive and placid temperament that makes them perfect family dogs. Due to their kind and sociable nature, Cavapoos get along well with people and other pets.

#2 Most are Hypoallergenic and Low shedding

Just like the title suggests, most Cavapoos have hypoallergenic coats with low shedding. Poodle mixes such as Cavapoos often inherit the minimal shedding that Poodles are so well known for. While Spaniels such as Cavalier King Charles Spaniel may overwhelm their owners with the amount of shedding, Cavapoos encompass all the good qualities of Cavalier King Charles Spaniel minus the abundant shedding, making this hybrid dog very appealing to people who don't want to deal with excessive amounts of dog hair around the home. F1 Cavapoos may shed lightly, but F1b Cavapoos are less likely to shed and have a higher success rate for being non-shedding dogs. We suggest getting an F1b if you or your family experiences allergies, as only some F1 Cavapoos may be hypoallergenic.

#3 Eager to please

From their Poodle side of the family Cavapoos take the intelligence and eagerness to please the owners which translates into a smart dog that is also easier to train than many other breeds. Positive training techniques as well as training during play work best for Cavapoos and strengthen the bond between the dog and the owner.

#4 Great for first time dog owners

If you’ve never owned a dog before, you may want to consider a Cavapoo. They’re a well-rounded dog with a lot of good traits. Their sweet nature, eagerness to please and low-shedding coats make them a good dog for those with limited experience.

#5 Smaller sized

Cavapoos can range from 10-20 pounds, making them great lap dogs! Cavapoos are great for families that are wanting a smaller sized dog with all the intelligence and personality of larger breeds. Having a loving and smart pup to cuddle is just one of the many pro’s to owning this breed. We offer toy Cavapoos which are typically 12-20 pounds.
